The actress first became famous in the role of Fiona Gallagher during the UK's Shameless series. The Virgin Queen (2006) in which she played Queen Elizabeth II. The 2015 series From Darkness featured her as the leading role. Duff played roles in films like Enigma (2001) The Magdalene Sisters Notes on a Scandal (2006) French Film (2008) The Last Station and Nowhere Boy Before I Go to Sleep (2014) as well as Suffragette (2015). The Virgin Queen Shameless The Virgin Queen and Suffragette have all landed her BAFTA nominations for Best Actresses. Anne-Marie Duff excels as an English award-winning actress. Her work has included performances on the theater, on television and in radio in equal measure. Her roles in Shameless (a British comedy-drama TV series) as well as The Virgin Queen, a television miniseries focusing on Queen Elizabeth I garnered her mainstream notoriety.
